- Aluminum Internal Floating Roof (Deck Skin & Tube Type)
The internal floating roof consists of float tubes joined together by I-beams and clamps, with deck skins fitted and equipped with a continuous closure device (primary and secondary seals) between the tank shell and the roof edge. Its primary purpose is to minimize the vapor space above the stored liquid.
This system reduces emissions and evaporative losses while protecting the tank from corrosive or oxidizing elements by eliminating the vapor zone found in fixed-roof storage tanks. Floating roofs have long been the most widely used system for storing petroleum products.
TTS supplies internal floating roofs in both aluminum and stainless steel, drawing on years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and installing all types of tank seal accessories. Our internal floating roofs comply with environmental regulations and the latest edition of API 650 Appendix H.
